Project Description

The project involved the Design and Supervision of the Upgrading of Facilities at Kisumu Airport, including the reconstruction and extension of the runway, taxiway, apron, new terminal building and other buildings & associated works.

The actual services provided were:

  • Review of all Detailed Design and Tender / Contract Documentation
  • Provided Construction Management and Supervision Services
  • Carried out all duties and responsibilities of the Engineer as specified under the World Bank
  • Prepared Preventive and Maintenance and Building Operation Management System for the Facilities
  • Provided Transition Planning and Implementation
  • Training
  • Environmental Impact Management
  • Management of Nominated Subcontractors
